JPJ Engineering and the Bois Forte Development Corporation worked together to construct Tim Horton's Cafe & Bake Shop located next to the Y-Store on Highway 169 in Tower, MN. Tim Horton, a Canadian multinational restaurant chain, is a favorite spot in Canada for baked goods, coffee, and sandwiches.
JPJ Engineering developed the building expansion of the existing Y-Store to include a drive-thru lane, appropriate parking configuration, roadway improvements, drainage, and various work around the existing building. A topographic survey was provided to delineate and define significant features related to the development of the site.
JPJ Engineering executed efficient project management to establish a project schedule and schedule updates, coordinated with the wetland delineator geotechnical firm, communicated with small utility companies and consultants, and initiated funding/grant applications to various local state agencies. JPJ Engineering submitted both preliminary and final engineering plans for this project.
